Hi There!

I’m SO glad that you found me…

Tell me…Does this sound like you?

You learnt piano as a child but you never felt like one of those 'natural' musicians.

Because you learnt ‘traditionally’ you couldn't play anything without your music in front of you. You understood the music intellectually but you never felt a natural connection with the piano itself. You envied those people who could just sit down and start playing freely and be the life of the party. You ended up giving up and have always believed that you just didn't have that much musical talent.

I Get It...

You're a really GREAT parent and you desperately want a different experience for your children. You want them to experience the FREEDOM to play without all the restrictions you were forced to conform to. You know the ENORMOUS benefits of music education but you want your kids to ENJOY it.

You don't want to force your child to learn all those boring tedious scales. You don't really even want them to learn to read music straight away.

I took piano lessons for many years as a child, completed my Australian Music Examination Board 8th Grade exam and took performance units at university level. However, I never felt like I actually tapped into my sense of creativity. Having taught since I was 16 years old I was looking for a different approach that would INSPIRE children to remain engaged with music for the long term. When I found this method I just couldn’t believe that there was a way out there that showed you how to PLAY the piano. I felt like I had spent all those years ‘learning’ the piano. I honestly thought it was too good to be true so I booked myself in to an adult beginner class just to ‘check it out’. I found I was learning the songs easily and quickly but I would as I had some prior experience, however all these perfect beginner adult students were also learning the songs very quickly and I really couldn’t believe how quickly they were able to build up a such large repertoire of amazing sounding music.

After all…if you’re having fun it doesn’t FEEL like hard work does it?

It’s so important that students ENJOY their musical experience. I love it when kids bounce into their lesson all excited to show me what they have managed to play over the course of the week. The look of EXCITEMENT on their faces is priceless.
